Motivation

While writing about the motivation, the writer recalls Brian's hope. He decided to take a shot in Re-Stringer after researching about Anaconda's teeth - the bio-mimicry for his future device. In fact, Hoodie Re-Stringer idea can help him reuse his favorite old hooded sweatshirt after getting struggle with traditional method as described on drafted Final Report. And Paul, group 8's designer, desires to work as a team in this project, and applies his skill in Solidwork to Auto Inventor, which is the design tool for Re-Stringer.

Moreover, before Prototype 2 testing, Emaad, group 8's proofreader and communicator, had removed his hooded sweatshirt's drawstring (Images below). Unfortunately, Prototype 2 can barely get through Emaad's hoodie ring, and Paul got struggle while "restring-it". As a result, Emaad cannot tighten the hood and his drawstring has been still out of the sweatshirt due to the failure of the recent Prototype 3 (too small to carry string).

Therefore, this issue also greatly motivates Group 8 to finish "Re-Stringer". First, this device can help Emaad avoid the Philly cold while wearing his favorite hoodie. Second, if successful, Group 8 will achieve its initial goal to find a better solution in restring the drawstring for hoodies.
